On Friday the 21st of July our Freedom family at Banora Point travelled back in time to the 1960s - think peace and groovy signs, old vinyls, tie die sheets and everything psychedelic.
Our Freedom Family at Rochedale have been travelling around the world in their monthly ‘International Day’ events and have so far visited the South Pacific, Italy, China and India. Their previous stop was the South Pacific, where our residents partied tropical style for their 'Islander Day'.
On Friday the 14th of July our Freedom Family at Cheltenham thought that Bastille Day was the perfect excuse to have a breakfast for their residents and team. So that is exactly what they did, they celebrated Bastille Day with a lovely French themed breakfast.
Here at Freedom, we’ve partnered with a number of local Bendigo businesses to bring our Freedom family residents and all community seniors in the local Bendigo community great deals on a range of products, services and attractions.
On Sunday the 9th of July, eleven of our Freedom Aged Care residents rugged up against the cold Melbourne weather and attended the AFL clash between Melbourne and Carlton at the MCG.
From the joyous laughter abuzz, clinking of cocktail glasses, and cheeky dancing, we could very well be on a cruise ship breezing through the South Pacific at cocktail hour. For Freedom Aged Care Rochedale residents, it’s another of their hugely anticipated monthly ‘International Days’ – and this time, the community’s dining room is full for Islander Day.
Friday 12th May was International Nurses Day, and our Freedom families across Australia tipped their hats to the unsung heroes of their communities – the carers and staff.
